Our Vision
Our Vision is anchored in the example and teaching of Jesus. In Matthew we read:
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew5:14-16
We choose Shine from the inside out as our vision because we want to demonstrate the love of Jesus in our world through our Christian values. We want all members of our school community to thrive and be a light in our world, so they make a positive difference today and in the future.
Our Aim
At Hartpury C of E Primary School, we aim to develop children who are motivated and equipped to be courageous advocates for our world, throughout their lives. We seek to develop each child’s understanding, respect, appreciation and responsibility for the world around us, so they can make a difference both now and in the future. The Global Sustainable Development Goals are central to our ethos and our Christian Values underpin all aspects of our community as we strive for the children to develop a broad understanding and enjoyment of the world that enables them to be outward looking, resilient and effective citizens of the future.

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13:34-35
In this way, it is our aim that all members of our school community will learn to care for and serve others and be courageous advocates, helping to bring about a positive difference in the world.
Children will be encouraged to learn about Jesus and how he shone from the inside out using the following Bible stories:
Mark 1: 40-45
Jesus heals the leper – Jesus was willing to be with and help outcasts.
Luke 19:1-10
Jesus meets Zacchaeus – no one is beyond the love of Jesus.
John 6:1-15
Jesus feeds the 5000 – God provides for us all if we are willing to share.
Luke 15
The parables of the lost sheep, the lost son and the lost coin – we are each precious and valued.
