School Worship
Every day an act of worship based on our termly Christian value is held in school. Every worship opens with us lighting three candles to represent the Holy Trinity of God - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
During the worship children are encouraged to listen, think and share idea with each other, as well as being given time to reflect within themselves. Prayers are shared, often including The Lord’s Prayer and we especially enjoying singing hymns and worship songs together.
The acts of worship are led by a range of people and include many opportunities for pupils to participate. Vicar John comes in every week to lead worship with us.
A typical week of worship would include:
- Class worship where we explore and reflect on our value together in a more intimate environment.
- A visit by the local Open the Book Team to explore Bible stories.
- Worship by Vicar John
- Worships led by Mrs Hopson or one of the teachers.
Parents and local advisors are invites to join worship at various times during the school term.
